Two-Day Excursion: Cairo and Alexandria — A Journey Through Time
This two-day excursion is the perfect way to explore two of Egypt’s most vibrant cities, each preserving its own diverse history. You will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient pyramids and the bustling metropolis of Cairo, and then travel to the Mediterranean coast to discover the pearl of antiquity — Alexandria.
You will visit:
The National Cairo Museum
The Great Sphinx
The Pyramids of Giza
The Papyrus Institute and oil factories
The Citadel of Qaitbay
The Abu al-Abbas Mosque
The Library of Alexandria
Included in the excursion price:
All entrance tickets to the attractions;
Services of a Russian-speaking guide;
Breakfast, dinner, and two lunches are included;
Transportation service within Hurghada
(Areas: El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, and Makadi — extra +$10* round trip. Soma Bay and Safaga — extra +$20* round trip.

What’s Included in the Excursion Program*
Day 1 — Cairo:
Departure from Hurghada around 01:00, depending on hotel location (drive to Cairo ~8 hours, depending on police escort);
The National Cairo Museum;
The Great Sphinx;
The Pyramids of Giza;
The Papyrus Institute and oil factory;
Nile boat trip (optional, extra $10, purchased directly from the guide on the bus);
Lunch (buffet);
Transfer to the hotel and dinner.
Day 2 — Alexandria:
Early breakfast at the hotel;
Transfer to Alexandria around 05:00;
The Citadel of Qaitbay;
The Abu al-Abbas Mosque;
The Library of Alexandria;
Additional attractions at no extra charge may be included if time permits, by agreement with the guide (e.g., Aquarium, Roman Theater);
Lunch at a seafood restaurant;
Departure from Alexandria around 14:30;
Return to Hurghada around 23:00.
*The order of the program may change, depending on the guide’s decision and tourist flow at the attractions.
Additional Information:
Transfer from Hurghada and back by air-conditioned bus with toilet (may be replaced by a minibus if the group is small);
To avoid unpleasant odors, the bus toilet may be closed by the driver under the pretext of malfunction. We recommend using toilets at stops and near attractions (~10 EGP; free at lunch and Banana Island). In case of urgent need and a closed bus toilet, please contact our booking office for assistance;
Transfer from Cairo to Alexandria and back may be by minibus if the group is small;
Montaza Palace in Alexandria is closed for restoration and is not included in the program;
Entry inside the Pyramid of Cheops is not included. If desired (and if time allows), tickets can be purchased at the entrance: 1500 EGP (~$30).
