Cairo

An excursion to Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh is not just a trip — it is a true journey through time to the very origins of ancient civilization. It’s a unique chance to see with your own eyes the legendary pyramids, which for thousands of years have remained symbols of the power and mysteries of Ancient Egypt.

Giza Plateau
The highlight of your journey will be the arrival at the Giza Plateau. Here you will see the great pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. You will be able to truly appreciate their colossal size and walk around their base.

The Pyramid of Khufu, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is the only surviving wonder of the Ancient World. Its perfect shape and incredible scale still inspire awe and countless questions.

Next to the pyramids, you’ll meet the Great Sphinx — a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the face of a man, which has stood guard here for thousands of years.

Treasures of Ancient Egypt
After visiting the Pyramids, you’ll head to the Egyptian National Museum. This place is a true treasure trove, home to thousands of priceless artifacts. The highlight of the collection is the golden treasures from the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. His famous funerary mask, sarcophagi, and jewelry gleaming under glass will bring you face-to-face with the splendor of Ancient Egypt.

What’s Included in the Excursion Program*

  • Departure from the hotel at approximately 04:30 AM (exact time confirmed after booking);

  • Flight to Cairo according to airline schedule, flight duration about 50 minutes;

  • Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by a Russian-speaking guide who will accompany you the entire day and introduce you to the sights of Cairo;

  • Egyptian National Museum;

  • Ancient Giza Pyramids;

  • Great Sphinx;

  • Papyrus Institute and Oil Factory;

  • Nile boat ride (optional, extra charge $10–$20, payable directly to the guide on the bus);

  • Lunch (buffet style);

  • End of the program around 17:00;

  • Transfer to Cairo Airport and return flight (depending on the ticket purchased and possible delays);

  • In Sharm El Sheikh, you will be met by a representative and transferred back to your hotel.

*The order of the program may change depending on the guide’s decision and tourist flow at the attractions.

Additional Information:

  • Excursion must be booked at least 2 days in advance (in high season better a week earlier) to secure plane tickets;

  • A prepayment of $150 is required for the flight ticket. In case of cancellation, the prepayment is non-refundable. The remaining balance is paid in the transfer before departure;

  • Tickets are purchased for available charter flights (delays in Cairo may occur, especially in the evening);

  • An Egyptian visa (stamped in the passport) is required. If you only have a Sinai stamp, organizers can assist in obtaining the visa right before the excursion. Cost: $25 + $5 service fee = $30 (departure from the hotel will be ~30–60 minutes earlier);

  • Passport photos of all participants must be sent in advance for tourist police clearance and flight ticket issuance;

  • Transfer in Cairo by air-conditioned bus with a toilet;

  • During the Nile boat ride, tourists who do not participate must wait in or near the bus (per Egyptian tourism regulations);

  • Be aware: there are no full cafés at Cairo Airport. We recommend bringing snacks in case of delays or if your return flight is scheduled later;

  • Guides may offer products for sale — this is common practice in Egypt. Our online service does not control the quality or pricing of these goods;

  • Entry inside the Pyramid of Khufu is not included. If desired (and if time allows), tickets can be purchased at the entrance (~1500 EGP / $30);

  • Citizens of Uzbekistan are not allowed entry to Cairo without a visa issued in advance by the Egyptian consulate. Please consult your MFA or consulate for details;

  • The excursion program can be adapted into a private tour with a separate car and guide in Cairo. This allows more flexibility and changes to the itinerary. Service cost: $125 total for all participants in the booking.
